The Dangerous Game was my first novel and the first to be published. I wrote it under the name Louise Grant and entered it in the Random House/Woman's Day romantic fiction competition, an Australia-wide competition that attracted over 1500 entries, and I won! It then went on to short-list for the Romantic Novel of the Year 2000 with the Romance Writers of Australia.

The Dangerous Game was chosen as a "jolly good read for the summer holidays" by the Weekend Australian Book Review (a national newspaper), one of only two books featured by a first-time author. When chosen as the book of the day at the Australian Online Bookshop it sold out in a day and was listed no. 7 in their top ten fiction sellers.
